01Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Very Good AI Tech, Inc., an independent game studio in Los Angeles, California, founded by Hao Zhang. They cover verygoodaitech.com, play.verygoodaitech.com and our games, including Pudding Brawl, Operation Compute and openword (together, “the Services”).
By using the Services you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
If you’re under 18, read these terms with a parent or guardian. If you’re under 13, play only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
02Playing our games
Our games are free and run in your browser with no account. We may add, change, pause or end any game, feature, room or build at any time.
Some of our games are early builds. Operation Compute is a demo and openword is still in development, so progress, settings and rooms can reset.
03Play fair
When you use the Services, don’t:
- cheat, use bots or modified game files, or exploit bugs on purpose (please tell us about bugs instead)
- harass other players, or pick a nickname that is hateful, sexual, threatening or pretends to be someone else
- attack, overload, probe or try to break into our servers, or try to reach parts of the Services that aren’t meant for you
- copy, scrape, resell or rehost the Services
- break the law, or help someone else do so
We may rename a player, close a room or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.
04Your nickname
Nicknames are optional. If you set one, you’re responsible for it, and you let us show it to the other players in your room.
05Our games and content
The games and everything in them, including code, art, characters, music, sound, names and the Very Good logo, belong to Very Good AI Tech, Inc. or to the people who license them to us.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play our games through the Services for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, sell or redistribute the games or any part of them, except where the law allows it.
Our games also use open-source software, such as React, Three.js and Lenis, under those projects’ own licenses.
07Made with Claude
We make our games with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Claude works with us on design, code, art drawn in code, and testing. We decide what goes into our games, and we are responsible for them.
Claude and Anthropic are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. Very Good AI Tech, Inc. is an independent studio. We aren’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, and Anthropic isn’t responsible for our games.
08Other services and links
The main version of Operation Compute runs on claude.ai, which Anthropic operates. When you use claude.ai, Anthropic’s Consumer Terms and Privacy Policy apply too.
We aren’t responsible for other websites we link to.
09Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything. Thank you for them.
10No warranties
We work hard on our games, but we provide the Services “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that the Services will always be available, free of bugs or secure, or that your settings or progress will be saved.
11Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Very Good AI Tech, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from the Services. Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to US$50.
Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12Ending access
You can stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we need to protect the Services or other players. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11 and 13 still apply after that.
13Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
If you have a problem with the Services, please email us first so we can try to sort it out. Any dispute we can’t resolve together will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change matters, we’ll say so on our homepage before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the new terms.
