01Who we are
Very Good AI Tech, Inc. is an independent game studio in Los Angeles, California, founded by Hao Zhang. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit verygoodaitech.com or play our games at play.verygoodaitech.com, including Pudding Brawl, Operation Compute and openword.
In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Very Good AI Tech, Inc., and “the Services” means those websites and games.
02What we collect
Our games are built to work without knowing who you are. This is everything that reaches us:
- Connection details. Like every website, our server receives your IP address, your browser type and the address of the page or file you ask for. We need these to send the page back to you and to protect the Services from abuse.
- Online rooms. When you create or join a room in Pudding Brawl, our server passes the room code, your nickname if you set one, and your moves to the other players in that room while you play.
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message.
We don’t collect your real name, payment details, precise location or contacts, and our games never use your camera or microphone.
03What stays on your device
Our games remember a few settings in your browser’s local storage so you don’t have to set them again. This data stays on your device and we can’t see it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for our domain in your browser.
| Saved as | Game | What it holds |
|---|---|---|
spoon-soundspoon-music | Pudding Brawl | Sound and music on or off |
spoon-shakespoon-motionspoon-3d | Pudding Brawl | Screen shake, reduced motion and 3D on or off |
spoon-coachspoon-rookie | Pudding Brawl | Whether you have finished the tips and your first match |
spoon-name | Pudding Brawl | Your nickname, if you set one |
spoon- + room code | Pudding Brawl | A random key that lets you rejoin a room after your connection drops. Kept in session storage, so it is cleared when you close the tab. |
co-settings | Operation Compute | Sound, difficulty and display options |
co-nameco-online | Operation Compute | Your player name, and the online room you are in so you can reconnect |
We don’t use cookies, and nothing on our sites follows you from one website to another.
04Claude and AI
We make our games with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Claude works with us on design, code, art drawn in code, and testing.
The AI rivals and teammates you meet in our games are ordinary game code. They run in your browser or on our game server and don’t call an AI model while you play. Nothing you type or do in our games is sent to Claude, to Anthropic or to any other AI service.
05Operation Compute on claude.ai
The main version of Operation Compute is published as an artifact on claude.ai, a service run by Anthropic. When you play it there, Anthropic hosts the page and its online rooms, and your room code and player name pass through Anthropic’s service.
Your use of claude.ai is covered by Anthropic’s Privacy Policy and Consumer Terms, not by this policy.
06Services we rely on
- Amazon Web Services hosts our servers in the United States (Oregon).
- Google Fonts delivers some of the typefaces on verygoodaitech.com and in Operation Compute. Your browser downloads them from Google, which receives your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- jsDelivr delivers a small open-source script that makes scrolling smooth on verygoodaitech.com. Like any content delivery network, it receives your IP address.
- When we link to other sites, such as claude.ai, those sites follow their own privacy policies.
We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t run ads.
07How we use information
We use the information above only to:
- deliver the website and games, and run online rooms
- keep the Services secure and stop abuse
- find and fix bugs
- answer your emails
- meet our legal obligations
We don’t build profiles of players.
08How long we keep it
Room information exists only while the room is open. Our servers may keep technical logs for security and debugging. We keep them only as long as we need them for that, then delete them.
We keep emails as long as we need them to help you. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
09Children
Our games are made for a general audience and work without any personal information. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Nicknames are optional, and we suggest players don’t use their real name. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
10Your choices and rights
You can play without a nickname, change your settings, and clear what our games store in your browser at any time.
You can also ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, the law may give you these rights. Because we don’t sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. Email hao@verygoodaitech.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.
11Security
Our pages and game connections are encrypted with HTTPS, and we keep as little information as we can. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be exposed.
12Visitors outside the United States
Our servers are in the United States. If you visit from another country, your connection details are processed in the United States.
13Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters, such as a new kind of information, we’ll also say so on our homepage before it takes effect.
